A few weeks ago I took the kids to the I am a Child of God exhibit with some friends. Diessen thought we were going to a museum and was a bit disappointed when there weren't any dinosaurs there. The kids had a really great time dressing up, coloring and running around.
In March Page turned 2. She didn't waste anytime is letting us know that she is two, she has been somewhat of stinker and she has a little attitude. This is picture of the weather the day of her birthday. The funny thing is it was doing this exact same thing the day she was born. We ended up getting 7 inches of snow that day. The most snow we had seen all winter.
I love that she is excited about everything!
Top ten thing I love about Page:
10. when she says "I loluu" ( I love you)
9. I know when she says "LOOOOK mommy", followed by "mess" I know it is going to be something terrible.
8. She thinks her brother is so neat.
7.Roco is her best friend and she is Roco's best friend (only because Roco knows he'll always get handouts from her.
6. She loves to help me unload the dishwasher.
5. She holds her own with the crazy boys in the neighborhood.
4. She has to have her "sleep" (blanket) with her whenever she is going to sleep.
3. Her favorite word is "bubbly". I don't know what it means or why she says it.
2. Page loves "cloclate" (chocolate). Maybe I ate to much of it when she was in the womb.
1. If she wasn't so cute, she would be in a whole lot more trouble.
She calls this her "hewo suit"
She has learned how to open our sliding door and I have found I more than one occasion outside. She will wear any shoes she can find outside. Here she has found Diessen's slippers.
Diessen turn 4! It is so hard to believe my little boy is 4.
Top ten things I love about Diessen:
10. Loves to tell knock knock jokes even though they don't make sense.
9. Love going to Primary and preschool
8. Loves to play Star Wars on his dad's wii (in his words.)
7. Loves his grandparents everyday he asks if we are going to see them 6. He wants to be Luke Skywalker when he grows up. (I hope he's not too disappointed when he finds out someone already has that job)
5. His favorite animal is a Tiger
4. His favorite foods are broccoli and Spagetti (Not in the same meal)
December stuff (I'm a bit late) we had a huge snow storm the first week of Dec. I think it was the only storm we've had since. Here are some pics of the kids sledding down our hill.
Christmas! The kids were spoiled like always with Christmas starting in mid December and ending around the first of January. I'm sure if they new better they would think we were Jewish. This was the first time I've ever taken Diessen to see Santa (I know he's almost four and had never told Santa what he wanted for Christmas). Look carefully and you might be able to see Page hidden in the presents. It was a little out of control with presents at my moms but we had four families there so that makes me feel a little better about it.
But a few weeks ago our family had it's first set of stitches. Page was pushed down in nursery and she hit the door frame and popped her eyebrow open. It was a pretty traumatic experience for me and for her. It was really glad that Diessen was there to handle the situation especially when the Dr. was trying to get the stitch in. Page was a trooper. I don't know why even decided to get it stitched because by Wednesday she had pulled it out. Crazy girl. It has healed up pretty well but I'm sure she'll have a little scar, but that's ok cause she will just match her me. Well you ask her now "where is the ouchie" she points to her eye.
So I'm alittle behind. Here are the kids in there Halloween costumes. Page loved being Nemo. She walked around saying "me Nemo,me Nemo". I was able to take of some time from work and attend Diessen's preschool Halloween Party. He was so excited. We went to GR for Halloween and it was really fun to trick or treat in my old neighborhood. It sure brought back alot of memories. I never remembered it being so warm on Halloween in Wyoming. It was a beautiful night with no wind. We weren't even wearing coats. We went to the trunk or treat at the stake center and visited the convalescent center where I ran into my old elementary music teacher. Surprisingly she remembered me, I must have made an impression on her.
We started out our Halloween Festivities by going to the pumpkin walk at the mill. We had a good time, Diessen had went earlier in the day with a friend and all he kept talking about was how he wanted to ride the bull. I was thinking that maybe it was a mechanical bull and we didn't have any cash to pay for him to ride it. I started to worry that he would make a scene because we didn't have money. Well when we got there he found his bull and he was very excited and it was FREE! It was fun to see all the fun pumpkins from around our community. The next day we carved pumpkins. It was really fun to carve pumpkins from our garden. We had a aThomas the tank engine, a U of U pumpkin, an owl, and a scooby doo.
