Happy birthday dad (aka grandpa)

We were hoping that we could be in Green River for Grandpa's birthday. But with scouting for food and a ward baptism we couldn't get away.So since we can't be there, here is a birthday greeting to grandpa from Diessen.

I couldn't figure out why he was calling Grandpa "bear grandpa'. He is says bear instead of dear. What a goof ball!!!

St.Patrick's Day

In an attempt to do something fun and creative with my son, I decided to since he is very into painting these days, to let him finger paint. I dyed some vanilla pudding green and let him go to town using the pudding to paint with. I told him he could eat it and he wouldn't he said it was paint and he couldn't eat it. Here are some pics of our St. Patrick's day activity. He was pretty sticky by the end. But he loved it. Next time I'll get some butcher paper and tape it to the table and let him paint the whole table

She's already a year old!!!!

I can't believe she is already one. This year has raced by. I think it goes faster on your second child. Page had a little party with a few of her friends that are close to her same age. Thiess' mom hada cake made for her. It was really cute a really yummy. After we cleaned her up from her cake she was being a really big ham. This is the way she looks for all pictures. It cracks us up. Happy Birthday Page!!!!

Hunting Expo

A few weeks ago we went to the hunting expo. Diessen loved seeing all the "stuffed animals". He loves to see deer, elk and especially bears. There were stuffed bears every where and unlike me Diessen wasn't afraid of them.

(As a child I was terrified of a bear rug that my Grandpa Page had, I'm still not so thrilled about seeing the rug or a stuffed bear, live ones I'm okay with especially ones at the zoo). We stumbled upon this bear that towered over the reast of the bears. Notice that the bear isn't on a very high platform and how tall he is compared to Thiess (6'3) and Diessen. I really wouldn't want to meet up with that guy. Can you imagine seeing that in the wild!!!!

We saw some really cool things like a refuge that takes in animals that people have taken from the wild to raise on there own but realized that wild animals can't be tamed. They had some owls. Owls are so mysterious they almost freak me out. But Diessen loved the owls

Weekend Festivities

This weekend Thiess' brother Max got married. We were all pretty excited about having another wedding. We haven't had a wedding in either of our families for two years. That actually is a long time because Thiess and I have had a family wedding every year since our wedding and felt like we needed one soon. I don't know why we were feeling this but we were quickly reminded about all the stress and drama that surrounds weddings. But for the most part Max's wedding was very nice and I'm super excited about having another sister in law. At the temple we wanted to get a nice family picture since we were all dressed up and this is what we got. Thiess' uncle Chris took the picture (I think he purposely ruined it by telling Diessen to hunt for buried treasure.) These days Page loves to stick out her tongue so every picture we took that day has her tongue sticking out.
