Keeping up with Life, but lagging behind

Our dirty girl

Page has cut her bottom 2 teeth and with that she has wanted to chew on everything. I thought she would probably like a biter bisuit. I only gave Diessen a few when he was a baby because they were so messy. Remembering this I put a bib on Page and let her go to town on her cookie. She LOVED it! She was so happy being able to hold her own food (Me not so happy with her covered in cookie from head to toe).

Decorating the tree

This is the first year Diessen was more of a help than a hindrance while decorating the tree. He was very good not to touch the glass ornaments. we had him hang the non-breakable ornaments at the bottom of the tree so the tree looks a little funny with all the glass ornaments at near the top. He loves the tree, a few times he has turned on the lights and I didn't know,(bad, bad). He is so excited for Santa to come, every time the doorbell rings he thinks it's Santa.

Singing in church

I haven't had the opportunity to sing in church for sometime now, (personally that is fine with me) but while I was home her Thanksgiving my dad had the whole family sing. I wasn't really that thrilled at first mostly cause I knew Thiess would have to wrestle with both kids in the pew. My mom picked out the song. It was a song (called Carol of the Manger) I had sung before in a Christmas program for the ward so I was pretty familiar with the tune, so I thought this will be easy. After practicing is few times I really started to think about the words of the song (OK here is where it is going to get a little gushy, so if some of you want to bail that is fine). The song mainly talked about Mary's point of view and the birth of her and son. I started to think about the birth of my son and how I wondered what his life would be like. I worried about if he would have friends, if he'd choose the right or even be bullied.
Mary knew that she was giving birth to the Son of God. She knew his great calling and I'm sure she felt very inadequate. I can't imagine knowing what she knew at the birth of er child. I wish I knew more about her. How did she handle to watching the way people treated her son. I hope I never have to endure even a sliver of the pain she had to endure as a mother.

tub time

Diessen is always wanting to take a bath with Page..I usually don't let him because he is so crazy with her. But I let him he was really good not to splash alot. In fact I think Page was more excited about taking a bath with her brother. She splashed him alot and he didn't splash back.
